Aqua Blue Public Library is one of the public libraries located in Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya Selangor. The name of the library derives from colour of the library interior and exterior also from Latin word water, which is a variation of cyan that sits between green and blue in the colour wheel. The library architectural style is minimalist design, and all building and interior wall colour is aqua blue. Aqua has a vibrant, striking tone, making it a wonderful accent in designs especially in this modern era. Aqua colour can blend well with other cool colours like dark greys or black hence the library furniture is in dark greys and black. Aqua evokes feelings of youth, and dreaminess which can draw people to come to this library. As colour is not only a powerful communication tool, it also can be used to signal action, influence mood, and even influence physiological reactions, because humans are more remembered to describe things that they see with their own eyes like shapes and colours. Certain colours have been associated with increased blood pressure, increased metabolism, and eyestrain while aqua blue is a colour of lightness can mean clarity of thought and calmness. For instance, beach is associated with easing stress and pressure because of the turquoise waters and blue sky calm the mind and provide a sense of clarity. Hence, the library is inspired by beach theme as it can mean balance and stability, as well as peace, growth, and energy despite the growth of information, communication, and technology this library wanted to attract the public to feel self-belong as the colour is easy on the eyes and can make anyone feel at ease.
